Aspire Jobs are delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a well-established and reputable distribution company who are seeking a Field Based Account Manager to join their team.

Responsibilities of the Field Based Account Manager

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Field Based Account Manager will be responsible for covering the Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire areas. The role is mainly looking after existing business, but the Field Based Account Manager will also be responsible for developing new business from sales activities to positively contribute to the growth of the company.

  • Ability to nurture and develop a portfolio of existing customers through relationship building.
  • Ability to build, manage and generate own leads through LinkedIn, cold calling and referrals to win new business.
  • Build strong client relationships and work collaboratively across functions.
  • Understand complex customer requirements & build appropriate solutions for customers.
  • Have an understanding of the Tender/RFI process & be comfortable taking ownership.
  • Effectively manage escalations and hold relevant teams accountable for delivery of positive customer experience and service levels.

Requirements of the Field Based Account Manager

  • Be able to demonstrate strong (B2B) sales experience with proven success.
  • Be able to demonstrate consultative selling acumen and refined, confident closing skills.
  • Be willing to travel and efficiently plan and manage time to achieve targets.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent presentation skills.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Actively seek innovative ways to improve processes and products.
  • Demonstrate superior judgement and excel at utilizing information to build a business case and enact positive change.
  • Understand the hierarchy and culture of customer and supplier organizations and be able to identify the decision makers and influencers.
