Responsibilities of the Sales Manager

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Sales Manager will be responsible for:

  • Being fully accountable for sales.
  • Driving new business.
  • Hitting your own new business targets.
  • Controlling and maintaining overall trading margin.
  • Managing a team of Field Sales Representatives and the Internal Sales Team.
  • Managing recruitment of the sales team when required.
  • Attending trade events.
  • Working with the senior management team to develop company strategy.
  • Presenting budgets, strategy plans and mid-year reviews.
  • Reporting weekly updates to the Managing Director and Head of Finance.

Requirements of the Sales Manager

  • Must be sales driven and hungry to succeed.
  • Able to demonstrate a good track record of sales and hitting targets.
  • Possess strong leadership and managerial skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and numbers driven.
  • Ability to build good working relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
