Jonathan Lee Recruitment is working with a organisation in the agricultural sector helping combine innovation and sustainability by delivering a farm management system to the poultry farming industry. They are looking to recruit a Cloud Engineer to help develop and support online applications used to deliver positive change to animal-based production systems. This role requires a strong understanding of IT systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively. This position offers the flexibility of remote working within the UK, with required travel to the Hampshire based site when required.

In the role, you will play a critical role working alongside the development and support data team. You will be a diligent and motivated individual capable of independent and collaborative work to ensure successful delivery of the organisations software services.. The main duties and responsibilities are:

  • Install, configure, maintain and update web servers, network devices, and other hosting infrastructure components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related problems in a timely manner, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Monitor network performance and security, ensuring systems are operating efficiently and securely.
  • Collaborate with data team members to implement and maintain IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery procedures are in place.

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in IT support or infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience in managing cloud hosting environments.
  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
