Salary: 75,000 + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + Pension
I am representing a prominent commercial main contractor located near Ringwood, who is seeking a Contracts Manager.
This established contractor undertakes a diverse range of refurbishment and new build projects across the UK. Recent projects include industrial units, schools, and car showrooms, with values ranging from 250K to 6M.
The company aims to steadily grow over the next five years and is looking for an experienced Contracts Manager seeking a long-term career opportunity.
Key Responsibilities of the Contracts Manager:
As the Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple projects, support site teams, liaise with clients, and ensure projects are planned, resourced, programmed, and delivered on time and within budget.
The Contracts Manager will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- At least 5 years of Contracts Management or Project Management experience. Experience with new build and refurbishment projects, ideally in the motor retail sector (though this is not essential).
- A strong background in quality management to maintain high standards.
- A detailed understanding of Health & Safety management and compliance.
- Experience with groundworks, steel frame construction, and both external and internal works.
- Effective communication skills with clients, architects, other professionals, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- The ability to inspire and motivate the workforce.
Qualifications of the Contracts Manager:
- CSCS card
- SMSTS certificate
- First Aid at Work certificate
