Production Operative

Urgently needed Production Operatives for Workshop based at Hurn.

Our Client are one of the leading manufacturers in their industry and are an expanding company with the opportunity for anyone who joins them to develop as they grow.

Salary is based on experience and will be discussed at interview stage.

Basic shift pattern 7am to 3.30pm with a 15-minute paid morning break and a half an hour unpaid lunch break. Overtime is paid at 1.5 time.

Duties of a Production Operative to include:

• Working on various stages of production as and when needed
• Operating machinery to include hand tools and an opportunity for training to be part of the team running a Stone cutting bridge saw and CNC multi machining centre.
• Involves lifting.
• Quality checking work
• Packing final products

The factory is split into departments with a person’s overall skills matched to suit.

Skills

We welcome applicants who have experience in the following trades

• Bench Joinery/Carpentry.
• Stone masonry.
• Fine finishing with a high quality of workmanship.
• Experience using a Stone CNC router, bridge saw or willing to learn and get involved in the programming and running of the machine.

• Reliable and Hardworking.
• Able to work as part of a team or individually.
• Practical with problem solving skills and the ability to use initiative to complete tasks given.

Qualifications

Good spoken English essential.

Clean Driving License.

CSCS card desirable.

Forklift License desirable.
