3rd Line Support Engineer

We are currently seeking a 3rd Line Support Engineer to join a dynamic IT support team based in Ringwood. This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary starting at £36k, dependent on experience.

As a 3rd Line Support Engineer, you’ll be responsible for resolving complex technical issues that 1st and 2nd Line teams are unable to resolve. You’ll act as a senior escalation point, handling critical IT challenges while ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and customer satisfaction remains high. Your role will also involve working closely with the support teams to streamline escalation processes and deliver a seamless service to clients.

Key responsibilities include providing advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis, and contributing to the development of infrastructure solutions tailored to client needs. You will also be responsible for on-site installations, configuring servers, routers, and telephony systems, and managing connectivity issues.

Technical Skills Required:

  • MS Office 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive
  • Active Directory and Azure AD
  • VPNs, Firewalls, Routers, Managed Switches, Wireless LANs
  • Virtualisation (VMWare preferred)
  • Network protocols, routing, and subnets
  • Cloud-based telephony/SIP trunks configuration and support
  • Scripting (PowerShell, CMD)
  • Support for Apple iOS and macOS operating systems
  • Experience with remote access software and service management systems (e.g., Connectwise)
  • Cybersecurity solutions (e.g., Bitdefender, Webroot)
