I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established medium sized housing developer based in the heart of the new forest. They build an excellent product and have a reputation of building quality homes. They now seek a project surveyor to join the team on a permanent basis. This will be office based, no hybrid working, and working Monday to Friday. They are well known for looking after their staff and have a family feel ethos to the business.
You will be employed on a permanent basis as a project surveyor. This will be delivering across various projects that are currently live, as well as managing the team. Your day to day responsibilities will include preparing reports, chairing meetings, meeting with local authorities, managing a team of 2 surveyors around you, feasibility of the site, costs, sub-contractor payments, final accounts, general budgeting and completing project to deadline.
You must have experience in a similar role or looking for your next step up. You must have experience working on residential projects within the housing sector. They are looking for somebody who is dynamic, analytical, problem solver, works at a fast pace and somebody who is organised. You must demonstrate excellent communication skills and be proactive in everything you do. They are also looking for a leader who can build morale and support those around them and within their team.
