The company has been operating for over 40 years and has built up a strong reputation within the residential sector. They undertake major groundworks projects for developers which include the construction of roads, sewers, deep drainage, enabling works, hard landscaping, foundations and infrastructure works.The business has plans to steadily grow and are looking for a commercially motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor with Groundworks experience to join the business.Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor

• Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will be responsible for the control of multiple residential projects valued up to £3m.
• Managing the commercial elements of each package.
• Measurement and valuation of various Civil Engineering and Groundworks packages.
• Preparation of monthly applications for payments for allocated projects.
• Identification and pricing of variations to clients.
• Negotiation and agreement of variations.
• Preparation of sub-contract tender enquiry documents.
• Review of submitted tenders.
• Payment of sub-contract accounts.
• Conducting monthly meetings with Commercial Director and Commercial Manager.
• Final Account duties.

Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor.

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying.
• Previous experience of Groundworks or Civil Engineering
• Previous experience of managing multiple projects in a similar role.
• IT proficient with Microsoft Packages, including Microsoft Excel.
• Valid driving licence to enable travel to live sites across the South.
