Position: Education Support Worker Location: Ringwood Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £23,500-£25,500Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Early, Day, and Night shiftsAbout Us:Prospero Health and Social Care are supporting an established and well regarded residential school in Ringwood whose mission is to deliver outstanding care and support to children and young people with special needs, enhancing their social, educational, and emotional growth within a nurturing house and school or college setting. Your Role:As an Education Support Worker, you will be integral to providing 1:1 support to our students, helping to implement individualised plans, and fostering their social, educational, and emotional skills. You will collaborate closely with House Managers to ensure the house runs smoothly each day. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students in forming and maintaining social relationships.
  • Support the development of independence in areas such as self-help, personal hygiene, household chores, meal preparation, and pocket money management.
  • Encourage participation in educational, recreational, and leisure activities.
  • Provide personal care while ensuring the dignity of each student is maintained.
  • Keep accurate and timely paper-based and electronic records.
  • Complete and submit incident and accident forms in line with policies and procedures.
  • Help draft student assessments and reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Report any concerns about the safety and well being of students, staff, or visitors promptly.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Aid House Managers with general household tasks.
  • Engage in planning and review processes, and attend staff meetings and briefings as needed.
  • Participate in internal and external reviews as requested.
  • Join the annual residential trip (up to 5 days), which may require working beyond normal hours.
  • Promptly report any damage or defects to the maintenance team.
  • Organise leisure and social activities to engage and motivate students.

Requirements:Must have or be willing to work towards the Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce. Benefits:
