Elevation Recruitment is hiring on behalf of a precision engineering company in Ripley to recruit a skilled CNC Miller.
Location: RipleySalary: £34,415.16 - £40,884.48Shift: Day shifts (early finish on Fridays)Overtime available
Role:CNC Milling tight tolerance, complex components requiring a high level of precision and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:- Programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines, including proving new programmes
- Machining complex parts to strict quality standards
- Working with a range of materials, including exotic alloys and hardened steels
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Conducting first-off and in-process inspections using workshop measuring equipment
- Ensuring adherence to route cards and production schedules
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
- Working closely with engineers and quality teams to resolve machining issues and optimise processes
- Following health and safety regulations and company procedures
- Level 3 Apprenticeship (or higher) in a relevant engineering discipline
- Experience in a precision machining environment
- Knowledge of multiple controls would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
