Our client is a dynamic privately owned business with diverse interests across the construction Industry with a group turnover in excess of £100m

As a result of continued growth of one of their business units, FRS have been engaged to assist with the recruitment of an Accountant / Finance Manager / Finance Controller to join a £10m T/O business unit based in Ripley, Derbyshire.

This position offer hybrid working but is ideally suited to a candidate is within easy commuting distance to Ripley,

Working with the Group Finance Director and Business MD this position will form part of the companies SLT.

This position is one of a 2 person finance team for this divisional business taking the lead role in finance with support of the Group FD whilst taking responsibility for a Book Keeper that completes much of he day to day activity around Purchase & Sales Ledger and Credit Control Duties.• Timely completion of monthly management accounts with commentary on variances• Assist with annual budget creation and develop Analysis on KPIs to enable performance to be monitored. • Management of company cash flow, monitor bank accounts and complete returns, to include VAT and Intrastat• Maintenance of company fixed asset register, processing journals, accruals and prepayments.• Lead, guide and develop a Bookkeeper ensuring PL / SL / CC / Payroll Duties are completed• Work closely with Director, External Accountants and Banks etc.• Daily use of Sage Line 50 / Sage Payroll / MS Excel) and other internal software’sThe ideal candidate for this position will be working towards qualification (AAT / ACCA / CIMA) if not already qualified with at least 3-5 years experience with a similar role however those that are stop studiers or QBE with suitable experience will be considered.Experience of using Sage Accounting software is desirable but not essential however a good level of ability with MS Excel for analysis is key.
