IT Support Technician – Ripley £26,000 - £30,000 + potential bonuses and great benefitsMy client is a global organisation who are industry-leaders in their sector and their UK-based IT Support team is growing, as they require an experienced IT Support Technician. You will act as the first point of contact for UK IT support, providing effective end user support at local and remote sites.This role would suit an IT Technician early in their career, who is looking to expand on their technical skill set and progress. You will provide e-mail, telephone and remote support to users with IT issues as well as logging requests on internal systems, monitoring them and completing to resolution. You will also install and maintain user devices and software ensuring maximum availability, whilst carrying out network maintenance functions and being involved in migrations to Windows 11.The organisation is consistently seeking to modernise their IT Infrastructure, so you will gain exposure to modern technologies. This role will be based on-site in Ripley and quarterly travel to other sites will be required.Package:
  • £26,000 - £30,000 basic DOE

Experience:
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience of working in an IT support role or university level education in an IT specific course.
  • Active Directory, maintaining users and groups
  • VMware knowledge
  • An understanding of Azure and cloud technologies would be beneficial
  • A basic knowledge of cyber security principles
  • Ability to focus on customer needs and satisfaction, providing a good level of customer service
