PERMANENT ROLE

Our client in Ripley is recruiting for an Injection Mould Machinist on a permanent basis. This client specialises in a range of industries from oils and gas, sub sea and marine and some aerospace. The role will involve

Key Responsibilities include; Injection Mould Machinist

  • To set injection moulding tools in various machines and achieve high quality parts at the optimum cycle time.
  • Setting and adjusting 3 axis and 6 axis robots to remove the mouldings efficiently from the mould tools.
  • Carry out scheduled mould tool changes quickly, efficiently, and effectively to minimise changeover times and machine downtime.
  • Monitoring cycle times against target cycle times on a regular basis, ensuring deviations are identified and rectified in a timely manner.
  • Changing and replenishing raw materials, refilling hopper loaders and day bins as required.
  • Troubleshoot issues encountered during a production run to maintain the production of good high-quality parts.
  • Ensure production outputs are achieved on time and in full.
  • Checking quality standards are always achieved by checking the product for defects during the machine start up and making relevant process changes.
  • Conducting material and colour changes as dictated by the production schedule.
  • Assisting with injection mould tooling maintenance as required.
  • Fault finding and rectifying injection moulding processing problems in a timely manner to maintain quality and minimise scrap levels.

Qualifications / Experiences: Injection Mould Machinist

  • Skilled Injection Mould Machinist
  • Able to set and operate
  • Competent running 6 axis machinery ideally
  • Proficient in fault finding
  • Able to read and work from drawings
  • Confident changing tool offsets
  • Able to use hand and power tools
  • Confident with deburring and cleaning of materials
  • An understanding of the importance of the first off samples, meeting both visual and dimensional specifications.

Package: Injection Mould Machinist

Shifts: 3-week rotating basis Monday - Friday

Mornings - 6am - 2:30pm

Afters - 2pm - 10:30pm

Nights - 10pm - 6:30am

Overtime available and paid at a premium

Paying up to £16.19 per hour
