Facilities and Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Bias)

Based in Derby – 3 Month Contract

Monday to Fridays Day Shift

PAYE £32.33 Per Hour or £35ph Umbrella

Largest manufacture of skin care, cleaning and hygiene products for professional markets. Following the success of previous contracts a new opportunity is available. The business is now looking for a facilities Maintenance Engineer to ensure the upkeep of the building and the operation and maintenance of mechanical pumps. The day-to-day responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Engineer will involve the following.

  • Perform routine maintenance of building facilities and systems (lighting, HVAC, Fire alarms, etc
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment with a focus on pumps
  • Strip, rebuild, and test pumps as required
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Respond to breakdowns and emergencies efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments as needed

The Facilities Maintenance Engineer must possess the following skills and experience.

  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance and mechanical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly pumps
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Mechanical engineering qualification preferred

The benefits of this contract are the following.

  • Monday to Friday Day shifts
  • Minimum of 40 hours per week available
