Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Elevation have the pleasure of working with a bespoke manufacturing company based in the Ripley area, who are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their team with immediate effect!

Salary: £45,195

Location: Ripley

Hours: 3 shifts rotating- Early finish on Friday afternoon shift

Duties of a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:

• Being proactive within the job focussing on preventative maintenance as well as reactive maintenance
• Helping apprentices
• Carrying out risk assessments as and when needed
• Working within a team environment so must be a team player, but also work from own initiative when needed
• Start up plant ready for production every day
• Work on continuous improvement projects
• Ensure always adhering to health and safety procedures.
• Working to a continuous improvement plan to make yourself and the business the best they can be at all times
• Ordering spare parts
• General site maintenance duties as and when needed

Desired experience:

• You must have at least Level 3 or above in Mechanical Engineering (City and Guilds – Apprentice trained)
• It would be advantageous for you to have HNC and HND qualifications but not essential
• Ideally have 3 years experience within in a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position recently
• Must be happy working the 3 shift pattern
• Ideally have experience of working in an FMCG/ fast paced environment previously
• Must have worked within a manufacturing maintenance background previously
• Ideally have some electrical knowledge but not essential for the role
