About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team in Ripley, providing day-to-day cover for secondary schools. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classrooms, ensuring that students remain on task with the work set by their regular teachers, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students stay on task.
Support the learning and development of Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
Maintain classroom discipline and follow the school's behavior policies.
Provide feedback to the regular class teacher on student progress and behavior.
Requirements:

Experience working in secondary schools is essential.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage with students.
A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Driving is desirable to facilitate travel between different school locations.
Desirable:

A relevant qualification or degree.
Previous experience in a cover supervisor role or similar.
An understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
