Pro-Found Recruitment are looking to recruit a Machine Operator working on Nights for our client, a well-established manufacturer based in Denby near Ripley.

This is a great opportunity for applicants from a Production/Manufacturing or Machine Operating background wanting to train as a Setter.

Trainee Setter Hours:

  • Static Nights 6pm - 6am on a 4 on, 4 off rotation - Please note that there will be a 6-8 week training period of working on the day shift which is 6am - 6pm

Trainee Setter Pay:

  • Nights rate: 14.08 per hour to start plus 20.12 per hour for overtime

The job roles and responsibilities of the Machine Operator include:

  • Ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently
  • Quality inspection
  • Heavy lifting/pulling/pushing up to 25KG
  • Packing and wrapping UPVC profiles
  • Labelling profiles
  • Loading profiles
  • General warehouse duties
  • Training to run the machinery, including feeding in, slitting and packing.

Machine Operator key skills Required:

  • Machine operating experience
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills
  • Good communication and listening skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Ability to self-motivate
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes
  • uPVC industry would be beneficial but not essential
  • Can demonstrate a full understanding of the entire production process
  • Previous experience of working in manufacturing environment as a Machine Operator or skilled Production Operative is essential
