PERMANENT ROLE

Our client in Ripley is recruiting for a Bench Fitter Toolmaker on a permanent basis. This client specialises in a range of industries from oils and gas, subsea and marine and some aerospace. The role will involve fitting and assembling a variety of products from simple to complex hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate will be a skilled mechanical fitter with manual machining experience

Job description: Bench Fitter Toolmaker

  • Fitting, assembly and testing a wide variety of assemblies
  • Machining and toolmaking
  • The work will range from relatively straightforward tooling through to complex mechanical assemblies with hydraulic systems
  • The size of projects will vary from items, which can be handled manually up to and including larger assemblies, which require specialised lifting and handling equipment.
  • Working closely with the Project Engineering team, you will be responsible for meeting the customer requirements as defined by their specification and testing requirements.
  • Maintaining a high level of housekeeping and organisation of the working area.

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: Bench Fitter Toolmaker

  • Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings
  • Skilled Bench fitter
  • Confident fitting hydraulic systems
  • Able to use hand, power and air tools
  • Skilled in toolmaking disciplines
  • Ideally be apprentice trained or time served
  • Candidates must have manual machining experience in order to support the assembly and testing process.

Package: Bench Fitter Toolmaker

Day shift, 0730-1630 Mon-Thurs & 0730-1230 Friday

Overtime available and paid at a premium

Paying up to £20.16 per hour
