Brook Street are partnering with our client based in Derbyshire to recruit for a Receptionist on a temporary basis to work in a busy Medical Centre, being the first contact with patients and assisting with daily operations of the surgery.

We are looking for a friendly, engaging candidate who has an approachable demeanour ideally with previous experience in a similar position.

Role - Receptionist

Location - Derbyshire (DE5)

Pay - £11.44 per hour

Hours - 37.5 per week Monday to Friday

Duration - ASAP start until 15th November (potential extensions to this end date)

Role responsibilities -

As a front facing member of the team, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors to the surgery. With this responsibility comes the need to have excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with members of the public effectively.

  • Answering the telephone
  • Dealing with any patient queries in the waiting room
  • Making appointments
  • Responding to emails
  • Offering general administrative support where needed

Candidate Requirements -

  • Previous experience of working in a patient/customer facing role
  • Friendly and approachable attitude
  • Comfortable communicating over the phone, in person and via email
  • Able to work on site in DE5
  • Available for shifts between 8am and 7:30pm Monday to Friday
  • A team player
  • NHS experience would be preferential but not essential

Due to the nature of this position, successful candidates will be required to undergo a DBS check.
