Company Accountant, Ripon, £compAn established business in Ripon is recruiting for an accountant, reporting to their Finance Director, you will be involved with the day-to-day finance operations and preparation of financial statements and reports.To be considered you should be ACCA/ACA qualified, PQ will also be consideredDuties:

  • Responsibility for preparing management accounts and assisting with the year-end statutory accounts.
  • Monthly balance sheet control account reconciliations, including bank and intercompany reconciliation.
  • Preparation of monthly salaries and overseeing and assisting with weekly payroll.
  • Overseeing the accounts department, purchase ledger, and sales ledger.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns, RTI submissions, CT61 returns, P11d, and business surveys.
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual forecasts and budgets.
  • Responsibility for intercompany transactions and recharges, and assistance with preparation of property accounts.
  • Assisting with the development of the new ERP system, including testing, training and data migration.
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register.

Requirements

  • Qualified Account (ACCA/ACA), part qualified can be considered.
  • ideally with experience in a similar finance role
  • Strong attention to detail with meticulous record keeping skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and meet strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Sage payroll an advantage and knowledge of ERP systems
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to problem solving
