- Bank Account Oversight: Maintain accurate monitoring of all firm bank accounts, ensuring compliance with internal policies and Solicitors' Accounts Rules.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports, offering insights into the firm’s financial performance for review by the Partners.
- Supervision: Lead and supervise the Legal Cashiers team, ensuring smooth and efficient processing of financial transactions and adherence to best practices.
- Holiday Cover: Step in to provide essential holiday cover for Legal Cashiers, ensuring there is no disruption in the firm’s financial operations during staff absences.
- Payments & Authorisations: Set up, review, and authorise payments from the firm’s accounts, ensuring all transactions are properly vetted and approved.
- Proven Financial Management Expertise: You must have a solid background in finance, with previous experience in a similar role. Experience in the legal sector and familiarity with Solicitors’ Accounts Rules will be highly advantageous but not essential.
- Reporting & Analysis Skills: Strong ability to produce, analyse, and present financial reports is essential to help the firm make informed decisions.
- Leadership Skills: You’ll be responsible for overseeing the Legal Cashiers, offering guidance and ensuring the team operates efficiently.
