Optimum Recruitment Group are proud to be working exclusively with a client based in Ripon who are looking to appoint a NPD Assistant Technologist to the team, on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Head of NPD, you will provide support in all areas of NPD within a fast-paced laboratory. The main role involves actioning customer sample requests, preparing customer and product demonstration samples. The role will include replenishing stock ingredients, ensuring ingredients are within date and ordering samples from suppliers. Ensuring all courier paperwork is organised and complete.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage critical paths and ensuring key project milestones are met in multiple NPD projects.
  • Make up samples by following recipes to the detail as appropriate.
  • Preparing and dispatching samples for customer led projects, customer presentations and internal panels.
  • Organising sample dispatch – booking couriers and ensuring required courier paperwork is complete and organised.
  • Inputting courier and postage costs into NPD database.
  • Ensure stock management continuously.
  • Ensure all raw materials are within date, replenishing stock when required, liaising with Warehouse for new stock ingredients.
  • Ordering new stock samples from suppliers.
  • Ensure dataset on file is entered accurately and updated on NPD database.
  • Assist the NPD Manager and Supply Chain Manager where required.
  • Communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work within tight time scales and to specific development requirements.
  • Ensure a high standard of a clean, safe, and productive working environment.

  • Ability to build strong relationships and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective planning and organisational skills.
  • Fully IT literate.

Salary dependent on skills and experience but up to c£30k plus benefits.
