Warehouse Operative

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping and receiving. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and orders.
• Perform picking and packing of products for shipment, ensuring accuracy and quality control.
• Handle materials with care, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
• Conduct heavy lifting as required, moving stock throughout the warehouse efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Utilise forklifts for transporting heavy items when necessary, adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals and deadlines.

Skills

• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Experience in warehouse operations, including picking, packing, and materials handling.
• Strong ability in shipping and receiving processes with attention to detail.
• Capability for heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as part of daily responsibilities.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is beneficial for equipment maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with quality control practices to ensure product standards are met.
• Forklift certification is preferred but not essential; training may be provided.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
