Facility Procurement Professional

Location: Warrington, Birchwood
Salary: 21.70 per hour (PAYE)
Contract: 12 months - Potential for Full-Time Employment
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Flexible start/finish times)
Hybrid Working: Three days onsite (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday)



Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Professional to join a dynamic and fast-paced team. This role provides a high level of autonomy, allowing the successful candidate to manage procurement activities, build strong supplier relationships, and contribute to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of procurement operations.

The position involves managing multiple commodities, working closely with suppliers and category managers in both the UK and internationally. The role is well-suited to individuals who excel in a fast-moving environment, possess strong analytical skills, and are comfortable making data-driven procurement decisions.

With the potential for long-term career progression, exposure to large-scale projects, and involvement in multiple facilities, this role presents a strong opportunity for professional development.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement activities across multiple commodities, ensuring cost efficiency and timely supply.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with Accounts Payable to resolve cost and payment issues.

  • Utilize SAP S/4HANA (desirable) and Workday for procurement operations and reporting.

  • Perform data analysis using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas, to support procurement decisions.

  • Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost savings.

  • Operate effectively in a highly dynamic, aftermarket environment, responding to changing priorities.



Candidate Profile

  • Procurement or purchasing experience within manufacturing, food, clothing, or any structured purchasing environment.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and formulas.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate data and make informed procurement decisions.

  • Highly adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
