Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in science or engineering related discipline
- Ideally 10 years experience
- Nuclear industry experience
- Experience developing and preparing safety documentation
- Experience producing safety submissions
- Knowledge of regulatory negotiation, safety management and provision of specialist advice
- Experience managing safety case teams
Ideally applicants should also have:
- Chartership status or working towards

Role information:

- Provide nuclear safety input to design projects while ensuring nuclear safety requirements are met
- Prepare and agree the safety case strategy
- Ensure works meet the required cost and programme requirements
- Produce, verify and approve calculations, analyses, design documentation and technical reports
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure smooth communication between them
- Lead and participate in hazard identification studies
- Co-ordinate the production of the safety submission
- Review and approve design changes
- Raise quality plans for work packages
- Produce, verify and approve technical work scopes
