Production Engineer | Rochdale, Greater Manchester | Full Time | £30,000 to £38,000 depending on experience

A world-class, market leader in the manufacture of automatic combustion equipment is seeking a quality / production engineer to join its rapidly expanding firm, which exports to over 40 countries worldwide and serves a broad range of blue-chip customers.

You will be able to implement lean manufacturing processes across the shop floor and other areas of the business. You will be responsible for looking at each area of the business and identifying waste. You will need to be proficient in IT as there will be a combination of hands-on work and documentation creation/updating.

You will work closely with the SHEQ department to ensure that all areas of safety, health, the environment, and quality are closely coordinated and implemented.

What will your role look like?

  • Implementing lean methodologies throughout the factory and ensuring their continued use
  • Auditing
  • Managing non-conformances
  • Identifying production processes that can be improved and taking them through the full project lifecycle to completion
  • Internal lean training
  • Documentation management
  • Assisting the production department to ensure parts and BOMs are accurate
  • Liaising with suppliers/sub-contractors to ensure products are supplied correctly
  • Supplier/sub-contractor audits in conjunction with the SHEQ department
  • Ensuring the accurate representation of information on our ERP system
  • Working to tight deadlines
