Our Client s a dynamic and forward-thinking accounting practice dedicated to providing personalized, high-quality financial services to our diverse client base. Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Practice Bookkeeper to join our clients team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, including bank reconciliations, data entry, and ledger management.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
  • Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing and payments.
  • Support in preparing VAT returns, payroll processing, and end-of-year accounts.
  • Work closely with accountants to provide accurate data for tax preparation and advisory services.
  • Communicate with clients regarding financial records, deadlines, and general bookkeeping needs.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and ensure all financial information is handled in compliance with relevant regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a practice environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of VAT, payroll, and other financial regulations is an asset.
  • A bookkeeping qualification or equivalent experience (AAT qualification desirable but not essential).
