Role Overview:
As a General KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting the academic and personal development of children in Key Stage 1 (ages 5-7). Working closely with the class teachers, you'll assist in delivering engaging lessons, supporting individual students, and creating a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist class teachers in delivering lessons across the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in subjects like reading, writing, numeracy, and more.
* Help prepare classroom materials and resources.
* Monitor and assess students' progress, offering feedback and adjusting support to meet individual needs.
* Promote a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment.
* Supervise and support children during playtime, lunchtime, and other activities.
* Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure the well-being and academic progress of all students.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
* A good understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate young learners.
* Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards helping children succeed.
* Relevant qualifications or experience in education, teaching assistance, or child development are desirable.
