Are you a hardworking and ambitious individual with a passion for education? Tradewind Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a popular Secondary Academy in Middleton. This full-time position pays up to £90 per day, depending on your experience and qualifications. The role is set to start ASAP and may extend until the end of the next academic year.
The School: The Secondary Academy has recently achieved a 'Good' rating in their Ofsted inspection. They are known for fostering an inclusive and energetic learning environment, promoting excellence, aspiration, leadership, and success. As a Teaching Assistant at this Academy, you will have the chance to contribute to the school's vision and be a part of their success story.
Responsibilities: As the selected candidate, you will take charge of managing the school's library as a resource base and provide valuable intervention support. Your day-to-day tasks will include supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, collaborating closely with the class teacher, and implementing effective differentiation and behavior management techniques.
Qualifications and Skills: While previous experience in a Secondary School environment is advantageous, it is not mandatory. We are looking for someone with strong behavior management skills and a flexible skillset across subjects. A patient and nurturing demeanor, along with enthusiasm and a willingness to be actively involved in and out of the classroom, are highly valued. Additionally, a good sense of humor and an approachable and flexible attitude will be appreciated.
Location and Benefits: The school is conveniently located in Middleton, with easy access to Manchester City Centre through excellent public transport links. Ample parking is also available. The school boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including support from the Speech and Language Therapy (SaLT) Team, Counseling, and Educational Psychology.
