Salary:              £15.50 – 17ph + VAT (depending on experience)

Hours: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â 36 hours .- Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm with very ocassional weekends

Supporting Futures are currently recruiting for a Project Worker to support homeless women with multiple/ complex needs in a specialist supported housing project in Rochdale.
Â
We are looking for an experienced Support Worker to support homeless women with both their practical and emotional needs and to empower them to make positive choices, find safe sustainable housing and move towards independent living.

The service support women with a range of needs including homelessness, tenancy sustainment, substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, ex-offenders and those exiting sex work. The service works to a trauma informed model and in a non-judgemental manner.

Synopsis of duties:
- Key working clients and supporting clients with both their practical and emotional needs
- Responsible for carrying out initial assessments, risk assessments, devising support plans and liaising with appropriate agencies
- Supporting clients with housing applications and for supporting clients with all aspects of resettlement including accompanying on viewings and sign ups, signing up to utilities and accessing local facilities and applying for crisis fund and to local charities for furniture and amenities
- Supporting clients with income management and for understanding their tenancy rights and obligations
- Supporting clients to complete housing and welfare benefit applications and accompanying clients to various meetings and appointments
- Signposting clients to additional services and agencies including counselling, debt management, group programmes, housing, solicitors etc
- Working in partnership with other agencies and facilitating multi-agency meetings

Essential Requirements:
- Experience supporting vulnerable clients in supported housing, family support, social care and/ or domestic abuse services
- Experience of key working clients including carrying out support plans and risk and needs assessments
- Valid driving license and access to a car
