Randstad are looking for a Personal Advisor to join a dynamic Leaving Care Team in the Rochdale Council. This will be a full time role, offering up to £20 per hour DOE.

Contract: 3-6 months (potential for extension)

Responsibilities:

  • Focus on supporting young people, including asylum seekers, as they transition out of the care system and into adulthood.
  • Provide ongoing support to care leavers, ensuring their needs are met in line with statutory guidelines.
  • Engage in direct work with young people and the key figures in their lives.
  • Participate in the office-based duty system, assisting with urgent cases.
  • Promote the safety and protection of children and young people, with a focus on preventing exploitation.
  • Facilitate community-based activities to enhance young people's independence and integration into adult life.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and attend relevant meetings, training, and functions.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the Leaving Care Service.


Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Care of Children and Young People or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience in a similar role working with vulnerable children and young people.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection policies.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable, though not essential.
