Access to Vehicle: EssentialDBS: Valid DBS requiredJob Summary:We are seeking a proactive and dedicated Handy Man to join our facilities team. Reporting to the Facilities Team Leader and the CEO, you will be responsible for providing effective repair and maintenance services to our properties and other rented accommodations. You will ensure that all environments meet health and safety standards and comply with social landlord obligations, all while working within our quality assessment framework.Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively address repairs and maintenance tasks with enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.
  • Ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards in line with budgets, service level agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Undertake a variety of repair and maintenance tasks, including:
    • Basic plumbing
    • Joinery and carpentry
    • Painting and redecorating
  • Move and transfer materials within properties as needed.
  • Carry out PAT testing at all office and accommodation venues.
  • Assemble flat-pack furniture and perform any other duties as required by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Relevant Level 3 qualification.
  • Proven experience in a facilities or trade role (experience within residential property or housing associations is advantageous).
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and performing basic plumbing, joinery, and carpentry.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel to various locations.
