Multi Skilled Construction Tutor

We are currently looking for a full-time, permanent Multi Skilled Construction Tutor in the Manchester area. This role will consist of delivery of Introduction to Construction courses & Multi Skilled Courses (Bricklaying/Carpentry/Joinery plus Plastering and Decorating). You will work with industry professionals to provide an overview of the opportunities for employment to develop their aspirations.

Day-to-Day of the role:

  • To develop best practice in learning, teaching and assessment ensuring standardisation and continuity.
  • To monitor and manage learner attendance and maintain appropriate standards of behaviour.
  • To act as personal tutor to a group/s of learners and co-ordinate tutorial support liaising with Head of Academies.
  • To comply with safeguarding policies and practices and attend training as requested.

Required skills and Qualifications:

  • Cert Ed/ PGCE or relevant training or teaching qualification.
  • English and Maths at least level 2.
  • Knowledge of current relevant initiatives within FE, resource management and the vocational area of responsibility.
