These roles will not only secure full time employment as a teaching assistant following the completion of your degree, but it also gives you a clear and concise pathway onto a potential school based initial teacher training programme or experience to apply for your own PGCE. We work with a number of primary schools across Rochdale that are very keen to add several graduate teaching assistants to their staff team.
The ideal graduate teaching assistant would have some school/child based experience but this is not essential. The role would be carrying out small group interventions with a focus on maths, reading & writing and speaking, one to one support with SEN and lower ability students and general class support. A great opportunity for any budding future teachers.
