Overview:

Prospero Teaching is actively recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a primary school in the Milnrow area. This role is essential in fostering an engaging learning environment, helping students to thrive both academically and socially. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in supporting children in a school setting and will be prepared to take on various responsibilities, including leading interventions and covering classes in the absence of teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Classroom Support: Assist the classroom teacher in delivering the curriculum, providing support to students during lessons, and ensuring they remain focused and engaged.

- Cover Classes: Take charge of the classroom during a teacher's absence, effectively managing the learning environment and maintaining a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.

- Interventions: Lead small group and large group interventions, focusing on key areas such as literacy and numeracy. Tailor activities to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring every child can participate and benefit.

- Behaviour Management: Employ effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and address any issues that may arise, fostering a respectful and safe learning environment.

- Support Individual Needs: Work closely with students who may require additional support, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring they have access to the curriculum and feel included in classroom activities.

- Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with teachers, parents, and support staff, sharing insights about student progress and any concerns that may arise.

- Safeguarding: Uphold the school's safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring the well-being of all students is prioritized.
