Prospero are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Year 2 Teaching Assistant to work with a school in the Rochdale. The strongest applicant will have confidence in Mathematics and English.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting with Instruction: Supporting the teacher in delivering lessons and activities. Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Preparing Materials: Helping to prepare lesson materials, resources, and displays. Setting up and tidying up the classroom before and after activities.
  • Supporting Students: Encouraging positive behaviour and helping to develop social skills.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assisting with record-keeping, such as tracking student progress and attendance. Helping to organise and manage classroom resources and supplies.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (Desirable)
  • Previous experience working with young people.
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Provide two professional references.
