Job Title: Mechanical Engineer / Fitter
Location: Rochdale, Lancashire
Salary: £36,300 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:15 AM – 4:15 PM Friday: 7:15 AM – 12:15 PM

Contract Type: Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Fitter to join our clients dynamic team. In this role, you will work in a shop-floor environment, primarily involved in building and fitting large machinery for the recycling and agricultural sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble and fit large-scale recycling and agricultural machinery.

• Interpret and work from detailed technical drawings.

• Meet tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ensure the highest standards of quality in all work performed.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

Essential:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer/Fitter.

• Fully time-served and qualified.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• A strong team player with good communication skills.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in the waste and recycling industry, particularly with baling machinery.

• Willingness to travel for installations and servicing, including potential overseas assignments.

• 30 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).

Additional Information:

• Immediate start available.

• Full-time, 39 hours per week, with overtime available but not guaranteed.
