Bennett and Game has the pleasure of working with a reputable client based in the Rochdale area, who are now seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their busy service and repair team to work on their mobile and stationary waste management systems. They are offering a competitive starting salary of up to £35,000 plus a plethora of benefits such as overtime paid at 1.5x and 2x for Sundays, private medical care, team building & company events and company clothing.

This is an opportunity to join a market leader in their field who have been established for 40 years. You will be based out of their depot in the Rochdale area, carrying out service maintenance and repair both in the workshop and at customer sites throughout the UK.

You must have a full UK Driving Licence for this role.

Mechanical Fitter Job Overview
  • Carrying out service, maintenance and repair on company designed waste management equipment, which will be mounted on to trucks, trailers and trains
  • Receiving instruction from the Service Team Manager and managing own progress
  • Completing all relevant paperwork
  • Receiving training on company specific products
  • Commuting to the workshop on a daily basis. There is a pool van provided for any customer site visits
Mechanical Fitter Job Requirements
  • A background in the maintenance of HGV's, forklift trucks, mobile plant machinery, car mechanics or other vehicle maintenance
  • Either time served or NVQ Level 3 qualified in plant or vehicle mechanics
  • Any Hydraulics, Pneumatics, 12 and 24volt electrics experience is advantageous.
  • You must be based within commutable distance of Rochdale
  • Full UK Driving Licence
Mechanical Fitter Salary & Benefits
  • Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + working away allowance
  • Overtime paid 1.5x or 2x for Sundays
  • Hours Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00
