Candidates should have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or a time-served apprenticeship, along with relevant mechanical fitting experience.
The role involves building specialized machinery, servicing and repairing equipment, and requires the ability to work from technical drawings and carry out tests.
Day shifts are Monday to Friday, totaling 37 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime at enhanced rates and tiered pay grades based on experience.

The job:

To build specialised machinery, within established build times, carrying out fitting and assembly.

Must have relevant mechanical fitting experience. Able to carry out tests and work from technical drawings. Servicing and repairing clients equipment, from heavy plant machinery to other general mechanical work.

Skills:

Mechanical fitter experience
Basic metalwork functions, drilling, tapping and machining
Ability to work to a high level of quality
Must have good attendance record and excellent time-keeping
Able to work in safe manner in line with the companys Health & Safety policies
Competent in reading engineering drawings

About you:

Minimum of NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification/ time-served apprenticeship.
Ideally have an understanding/knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Able to work on own initiative and to prioritise tasks on daily basis
Comfortable working within a team and independently managing your own time
Problem solving skills
Well organised and with attention to detail
Able to work under pressure, flexible to needs of the business and be self-motivated.
