We are supporting a business in their search for a Quality Process Improvement Engineer, with an intimate knowledge of CMM programming and operation, as well as GD&T.

Description

As the Quality Process Improvement Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

  • Performing measurements on Precision components using GD&T, CMM operation to ensure product specifications are accurate and of the expected standard
  • The Programming of the CMM (Calypso & Aberlink)
  • Mentor a team of team lab technicians in order to bring them up to speed with the CMM programming/operation.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Quality tools to perform investigations (8D, 5Y's, 5S, A3, Fishbone etc.) and ensure the product and process quality is efficient across production.

Profile

A successful Quality Process Improvement Engineer must have:

  • Right to work within the UK
  • Demonstrable experience of CMM Programming and Operation (Calypso/Aberlink)
  • Have used techniques such as GD&T to be able to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control systems and methodologies
  • The ability to mentor and lead a small team.

Job Offer

  • An attractive salary ranging between 35,000 - 47,000 per annum
  • 40 hour per week Monday - Friday (Flexible)
