Role Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to join our team. This position will play a key role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient order processing, and maintaining the smooth running of the warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. The successful candidate will manage stock, staff, and quality control while ensuring adherence to warehouse procedures and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Order and Delivery Management:

o Process and dispatch all orders accurately as per customer specifications.

o Ensure that orders are processed and shipped on the required day, in compliance with international and domestic shipping guidelines.

- International Shipping:

o A basic understanding of international shipping processes is required.

- Staff Management & Leadership:

o Oversee warehouse operations when the Warehouse Manager is absent, including managing staff timekeeping and ensuring operational efficiency.

o Provide leadership to warehouse staff to maintain productivity and ensure adherence to warehouse procedures.

- Stock and Quality Management:

o Manage stock rotation and quality control, ensuring all stock is properly handled and stored.

o Take deliveries from the tannery and perform quality checks (training will be provided).

- Warehouse Operations:

o Open the warehouse before staff arrival and lock it up after DX Express pick-up, as needed (on Mondays, Wednesdays, and during the Warehouse Manager's absence).

o Maintain a clean and organised warehouse and yard.

- Racking Systems:

o Familiarity with racking systems is preferred.

- Forklift Operation:

o Operate Reach and Counterbalance forklifts (a valid license is required, and will be verified during the interview).

- Stock Take:

o Participate in the annual stock take.

Hours & Salary:

- Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime as needed based on demand.

- Salary: £25,000 per annum, with an increase to £28,000 after completing a 6-month probationary period.

- Benefits:

Essential Requirements:

- A Reach and Counterbalance forklift license (valid licence preferred, though not essential and will be checked during the interview).

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

- A basic understanding of international shipping is desirable.
