As the Senior Maintenance Engineer you will play a critical role in leading the manufacturing processes and driving efficiency across all operations. You will bring your insight, technical expertise and management skills to develop and optimise the manufacturing systems, ensuring the business remains at the forefront of productivity, safety and quality standards.Your key responsibilities will be:o Management and development of the maintenance teamo Develop, manage and co-ordinate Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) scheduleo Implement and uphold H&S standards, promoting a safe and compliant work environmento Drive continuous improvement projects, focusing on quality, efficiency and cost-effectivenessATTRIBUTES/SKILLSo Quick thinkero Leadershipo Resiliento Problem solver/Troubleshootero Excellent negotiatoro Self-Motivatedo Good use of initiativeo Extremely organisedo High level of commercialityESSENTIALo Over 8 years proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environmento Experience of managing a maintenance teamo Experience of managing projects, budgets and timeo Proven experience in risk managemento Proven experience of designing and maintaining a PPM scheduleo Experience in coaching/training operators on basic machine maintenanceo Driving licenceo Experience in management of H&S systemso Relevant engineering qualificationsRESPONSIBLIITIESo Ensure all machinery is running efficiently and any breakdowns are repaired quickly, continually monitoring and minimising the impact on production at all timeso Regular inspections of the building and machinery to detect and resolve problems earlyo Train machine operatives on safe operation and maintenance of machineryo Engineering project managing as required (e.g. researching new machinery/equipment, processes etc)o Supervise all repairs carried out by external contractors or machine operatorso Ensure operators are completing daily maintenance checks on their machines, with accurate record keepingo Respond to emergency maintenance callso Work closely with the factory manager to review and implement factory improvementso Maintain adequate supplies of machine spares/tooling etc.o Management of safety training for operators (FLT, stackers, machines etc.)o Ensuring the factory operates to current H&S legislation and makes appropriate changes and/or suggestions to ensure we are working to this level at all timeso Ensure all regulatory maintenance is carried out when required (LOLER testing, pressure testing etc.)o Supervision and management of the security contracts for the buildingo Working with procurement when new machinery is purchased to ensure appropriate safety measures are considered, and training arranged for operators and maintenance staffo Responsible for accurate and up to date record keeping for all planned and completed maintenance, including budget monitoring and controlo Clear and accurate communication to factory management and Directors relating to budgets, schedules and any unplanned expenses incurredIf you have the skills and experience for the above role and you would like to be considered for this role then please contact Gary Gittings at Time Recruitment Solutions for a private and confidential chat or simply click 'APPLY'.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
