Rochdale and Greater Manchester

We are seeking a skilled Site Agent to join our team and lead Highways projects in the Rochdale and Greater Manchester area. Our company, a long-standing partner for local authorities and government projects, is known for delivering innovative and impactful Civil Engineering solutions.

Role Overview:
As a Site Agent, you will play a crucial role in creating a collaborative and motivated team environment. You will work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, from skilled on-site engineers to labourers, to ensure project objectives are met within budget and on time. You will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring quality control requirements are met
  • Promoting health and safety awareness on site
  • Ensuring accuracy of engineering drawings and specifications and resolving any conflicts
  • Completing Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all works
  • Managing commercial issues for project elements
  • Representing the company in a professional and positive manner

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive knowledge of a range of Highways maintenance schemes and new developments, as well as excellent stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced environment. You will also have:

  • Experience within the Highways sector
  • SMSTS certification
  • Temporary Works Supervisor certification (preferable)
  • Experience managing operatives and engineers
