Tradewind Recruitment is looking for an experienced and efficient School Administrator to join a busy Secondary School in Rochdale. This role is available for an immediate start and offers a great opportunity to contribute to the daily operations of a vibrant school office. You will be an integral part of the administration team, ensuring smooth and effective support for students, staff, and parents.

Essential Criteria:

  • Prior experience working in a school office is essential.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, to interact confidently with staff, students, parents, and visitors.
  • Proficient in using office software, particularly Microsoft Office; experience with SIMS or other school management systems would be advantageous.
  • A positive, professional attitude with a strong attention to detail and a flexible approach to the needs of the school.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the first point of contact at reception, handling phone calls, answering enquiries, and greeting visitors.
  • Performing administrative duties such as maintaining records, updating databases, photocopying, and filing.
  • Assisting with pupil attendance, including monitoring absences and following up with parents as needed.
  • Supporting the senior leadership team with diary management, meeting arrangements, and correspondence.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to safeguarding procedures at all times.
  • Contributing to the efficient operation of the school office and ensuring effective communication between the school and its community.
