Technical Manager

Industry Sector: Passive Fire Protection, Fire stopping, Fire Compartmentation, Building Envelope, Cladding, Curtain Walling, Facades Specialist

To manage product and process development activities to company R&D / Marketing objectives. To be the UKCA and CE liaison officer for PPE.

8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 3.30pm Friday

Technical Manager responsibilities:

  • Advising customers on choice of fabrics, specification enquiries, and properties.
  • Co-ordinating internal and external non-conformances / complaints to ensure timely root cause analysis, corrective action and continuous improvement of manufacturing operations.
  • To provide on time release documentation to customers in accordance with stated requirements
  • Ensure Cost of Quality KPI’s are monitored and necessary corrective actions are taken to achieve targets.
  • Assist in the development of all employees in respect of quality management systems / standards & customer requirements.
  • Recruit, hire, and train technical staff.
  • Motivate and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Address performance issues and provide constructive feedback.

Successful Technical Manager Skills:

  • Experience in textiles and chemical manufacturing is essential
  • Strong technical skills and experience in the relevant field.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A problem-solving mentality and the ability to think critically
