Reed Education/The Lancashire Teaching Agency are looking for a dedicated Teacher for a Year 1 class in a “Good” Ofsted rated school in Bacup.

This is a temporary role which commences from January 2025 to cover 3 days per week.  It is expected to last until the end of the academic year but may last until January 2026 when the post holder is expected to return from their maternity leave.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering engaging and effective teaching to KS1 and 2 pupils, in line with the national curriculum.
  • Planning, preparing, and assessing lessons to ensure pupil progression.
  • Creating a nurturing and inspiring classroom environment.
  • Monitoring and supporting the social and emotional development of pupils.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to enhance the educational experience of the children.
  • Communicating with parents and carers to provide updates on pupil progress and development.
  • Participating in school events and contributing to the school community.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching across the KS1 and 2 is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the Primary curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive learning environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, pupils, and parents.
