We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager in Rochdale.

Pay rate: £27.45 PAYE / £34.27 UMB per hour (paid weekly)

Hours: Full time (37 hours per week) - hybrid

Contract duration: Temporary ongoing

Purpose:

  • Provide a lead role in ensuring the strategic direction, effective governance, and performance management of the Rochdale Safer Communities Partnership (RSCP) to discharge relevant duties.
  • Embed a public health approach through the design and delivery of health needs assessment, health equity audit, and other public health tools in support of commissioning and delivering services in Rochdale.
  • Oversee and coordinate the undertaking of strategic needs assessments to help ensure the service and community safety partnership has an evidence-based approach to meet the needs of relevant statutory duties such as the Domestic Abuse, Reducing Reoffending, Substance Misuse, Crime and Disorder, Serious Violence, etc.
  • Lead on the development and coordination of relevant community safety strategies and policies and the subsequent development and implementation plans in relation to these work streams.
  • Provide the Community Safety Service, Public Health, wider services, and partners of the local Community Safety Partnership, with a robust evidence base in order to inform strategies and decisions. Including producing and analysing management information and statistical data to inform service improvement and evidence based practice.
  • Support the commissioning process for relevant community safety commissioned services; monitoring contracts, performance and ensuring outcomes are delivered within budget.
  • To be accountable for the financial management, coordination and reporting of relevant community safety grants.
  • Lead the Community Safety Service input into the serious violence duties, including our response to serious youth violence.
  • Support the Head of Service with the development and implementation of relevant service improvement plans.

Essential Experience:

  • Extensive experience of working with performance management frameworks.
  • Extensive experience of analysing, interpreting and communicating complex data; both quantitative and qualitative.
  • Experience of undertaking research and analysing complex data using a variety of methodologies
  • Experience of working in the field of community safety, crime and anti-social behaviour reduction and/or public health
  • Demonstrable experience of working autonomously with minimum supervision, using a high level of own initiative and discretion
  • Experienced in effectively communicating and engaging with a wide range of internal and external bodies, building partnerships and productive working relationships
