The appointed buyer will be joining a successful business with an excellent atmosphere and a flexible approach.Buyer - Role and Responsibilities - Procurement, Purcashing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing- Identify, source and purchase timber products to ensure products are manufactured in line with business requirements (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Value Add)- Responsible for managing a large range of products from the initial order, communicating with suppliers and monitoring delivery schedules- Collation of information to help produce monthly KPIs- Promoting Lean Initiatives such as 6S and Internal Customer ensuring your team are provided with, and pass on, work of the required standard- Use your own experience / initiative to solve manufacturing and assembly problems with the supply chainBuyer - Skills and Abilities - Procurement, Purcashing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing- Experience of working in a manufacturing or engineering environment- Understanding of manufacturing methods - Familiar with ERP systems, lean techniques and logistics / supply chainBuyer, Procurement, Purcashing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing
