The role involves assisting in the commercial delivery of residential and educational development schemes and supporting the QS with cost management.
Candidates should have a HNC or degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, along with a good understanding of building regulations and construction methods.
Strong mathematical and IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, are essential, along with excellent communication abilities.
The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of on-site construction experience and may hold or be working towards membership in the Chartered Institute of Building.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Oldham /Rochdale/ Middleton area

£18,000 - £23,000 + Package

We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a family run construction business based near Oldham.

As their Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting the commercial delivery of residential and educational development schemes and assist the QS with cost management for development and contracting projects from procurement to the completion of sub-contract final accounts.

What they would like from you

HNC / Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying / Construction management or equivalent
A good understanding or building regulations and legal obligations
A good knowledge or construction methods and materials
Strong mathematical and IT ability
Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
Ability to assess and analyse information
Excellent communications skills

Desirable

HND/or Degree in Construction
Member of the Chartered Institute of Building, or working towards full membership
1-2 years on site construction experience
