Quantity Surveyor

Oldham /Rochdale/ Middleton area

£25,000 - £28,000 + Car Allowance & Company Package

Our client is a well-established family run business based within Greater Manchester. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with 1-2 years experience to join their friendly team, working on various new build and refurbishment projects across the residential, local authority and education sectors.

What Were Looking For:

  • 1-2 years QS Experience: Youve got a track record of delivering successful projects, managing costs, and driving efficiency ideally within the residential sector.
  • Strong Financial Acumen: Expert in managing budgets, tendering, and cost control from inception to completion.
  • Negotiation & Communication Skills: Confident dealing with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: You can quickly assess challenges and develop innovative solutions to keep projects on track.

Your Role:

  • Managing the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents, ensuring accurate forecasting.
  • Overseeing subcontractor and supplier contracts, ensuring competitive pricing and high standards of service.
  • Providing financial reports and advice to senior management, helping drive strategic decision-making.
  • Ensuring that all work complies with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Working closely with the project team to ensure quality and client satisfaction.
